Good instruction is an important aspect of your holiday, and choosing the right coaching to suit your requirements will pay dividends. We recommend the following 2 ski school which will provide you with first class instruction.
ESF ( L’ecole de Ski Francais) Villard Reculas
Villard Reculas has its own ski school in the village for both skiers and snowboarders. Alex Bila, the Director of the school speaks excellent English and is a popular instructor with La Source guests. Many of the other instructors in the team also speak English. Tuition in Villard Reculas is ideal for those who seek a quieter environment to learn and practice, smaller group sizes and no lift queues. Group lessons are normally restricted to school holidays, but private lessons can be arranged throughout the season.

Group lessons ski children (competition, gold and bronze level) Times 0900 to 1200 daily 5 or 6 days commencing Sunday/Monday €135.00/€128.00
Group lessons ski children (3 star, 2 star, 1 star, snowflake) Times 0915 to 1200 daily 5 or 6 days commencing Sunday/Monday €119.00/€113.00
Group lessons ski children (very young children - teddy bear class!) Times 0930 to 1200 daily 5 or 6 days commencing Sunday/Monday €115.00/€107.00
Group lessons ski Adults (level 1 and level 2) Times 0915 to 1200 daily 5 or 6 days commencing Sunday/Monday €119.00/€113.00
Group lessons snowboard children and adults (beginners, level 1, level 2) Times 1430 to 1700 5 or 6 days commencing Sunday/Monday €115.00
Private tuition - children and adults: 1 hour €38.00 for 1/ 2 persons, 1.5 hours €58.00, 2 hours €73.00
Notes:
- All group lessons need a minimum of 5 persons to operate
- With adult beginners and low intermediates it is sometimes difficult to operate in both low and high season weeks due to lack of demand. From our experience you would be advised to consider private lessons as an alternative and benefit from one to one tuition and rapid progress!
- All ski school bookings are recommended to be booked via ‘La Source’ We make the booking, deal with all the communications with the ski school, and avoid the need for you to pay a reservation deposit

Masterclass - The British Ski School in Alpe d’Huez
Stuart Adamson and Mel Mallen, both BASI top ski instructors, provide group and individual tuition In Alpe d’Huez
Group tuition starts at 0930 hours which requires taking the first 0900 hours lift from Villard Reculas and descending a blue run down to Alpe d’huez. Group tuition is ideal for the intermediate to advanced skier, but we caution beginners because of the first ‘blue run’ descent to Alpe d’Huez!
Group Ski lessons - 3 people minimum, 6 people max per class
Group lessons take place on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday mornings, from 9.30am to 11.30am, or you will be advised of alternative days
3 days x 2 hrs per day - €140.00 per person
