Chalet La Source is set amongst some of the most spectacular alpine scenery in France and provides the ideal environment for a French summer holiday - whether you are looking for a tranquil setting to relax and unwind in, or participate in more strenuous activities centered in the area, Villard Reculas & Alpe d’Huez are the ideal bases for a short or long stay.

We are also within easy access of the cultural cities of Lyon and Grenoble, many local French towns and villages with their colourful weekly markets, and the splendour of the nearby Ecrin National Park.

During July and August the lifts around Alpe d’Huez are open to allow you & your mountain bikes easy access to the higher peaks for walking, mountain biking or just enjoying the peaceful environment. Many excellent mountain restaurants are also open and Alpe d’Huez provides the base for many of the activities.
The Tour de France comes to Alpe d’Huez every other year.

During the peak French summer months of June to September La Source Chalet provides accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis. This will allow you the flexibility to choose how to spend your time and take full advantage of the long days and the plentiful local activities. However, you are welcome and encouraged to use the chalet as your home during your stay, utilising the sunny terrace & Jaccuzi with fantastic uninterrupted mountain views. BBQs on the terrace can easily be organised. At other times evening meals can be provided.
