La Source Ski Chalet, close to Alpe d’Huez, France is owned and managed by Michael Baldwin – ski enthusiast, mountaineer and hotelier. The ski chalet is a converted old stone barn south facing with panoramic views of the surrounding area. It has been renovated to an extremely high standard, keeping the charm and character of the building whilst creating modern facilities. There are 4 twin bedrooms all with private facilities, and a family room (sleeps 4 - twin beds and bunk beds) also with private facilities in the existing chalet.
A new extension provides a further 2 ensuite bedrooms (1 double bedroom and a bunk room), providing in total accommodation for 16 catered guests at La Source Ski Chalet.
A spiral staircase leads to the spectacular and spacious living/dining area with vaulted ceiling, wood burning stove and comfortable sofas. There is a separate south-facing sun lounge overlooking a large exterior wood decking, giving stunning views over the valley and mountain peaks. The recently installed 5 person outdoor Jacuzzi spa provides relaxing massage treatment and aromatherapy – perfect for unwinding after an energetic day on the ski slopes.
Home comforts include: satellite TV, videos, CD and DVD players, a wide selection of books, magazines, board games and an internet connection plus WIFI.
